Vietnam’s participation at the P4G Conference continues to affirm Vietnam’s responsible contribution in promoting sustainable development, green growth, and climate change response.

At the invitation of President of the Republic of Korea Moon Jae In, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh will attend the Partnership Summit on Green Growth and the Global Goals 2030 (P4G) in an online form. May 31, 2021.

With the theme “Inclusive Green Recovery towards the goal of carbon neutrality”, at the High-Level Dialogue, leaders of the countries will focus on discussing 3 priority contents including green recovery from Covid-19, efforts to of the international community to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050, strengthen climate action, and facilitate public-private partnerships. Thematic discussion sessions discuss topics such as carbon neutrality goals, green new strategies, food and agriculture, clean water, clean energy, green technology, green finance, smart cities, and business. circular economy, marine economy, biodiversity, business connectivity.

The 2021 P4G Summit is considered important in the context of climate change response and green recovery becoming a top priority for countries. Together with the Climate Change Summit chaired by the US President on April 22, 2021, the P4G Summit 2021 will create an important impetus, promoting the determination and commitment of the international community to standard for the Global Summit on Climate Change (COP 26) next November.

The P4G Summit 2021 is also the first multilateral conference on the environment hosted by South Korea. This year’s conference received the response and participation of a large number of leaders of countries, international organizations, experts and businesses. To date, leaders of more than 40 countries and 21 international organizations have confirmed to attend, including leaders of 14 countries and 01 international organization.; Ministerial-level representatives and leaders of 21 international organizations attended activities within the framework of the Conference.
