Good news for young Ile-de-France residents who hold an Imagin’R Pass, the RATP transport card dedicated to them: Valérie Pécresse, president of the Île-de-France region and head of Île-de-France Mobilités , announced an exceptional reimbursement due to the pandemic.
A refund for three months of subscription
In an interview given to the newspaper 20 Minutes on March 31, 2021, Valérie Pécresse announced this new device intended for young Ile-de-France residents. Given the exceptional situation linked to the Covid-19 which has led the courses to be kept at bay, it deemed it appropriate to reimburse part of the annual Pass Imagin’R subscription. As she explains to 20 minutes, “ unlike the Navigo pass, it is not possible to suspend the Imagine’R pass. In each quarter, there is the equivalent of a month that has not been consumed “.
The inability to suspend this young subscription at will has led those concerned to lose out in the pandemic situation facing the region and France. The elected representative therefore undertakes to offer them a refund, even if nothing has been voted on: the proposal will be put to a vote at Île-de-France Mobilités on April 14, 2021.
85 euros reimbursed … and beware of false sites
Valérie Pécresse’s goal is to offer a refund for the equivalent of three months of the Imagin’R Pass, for a total of 85 euros per subscription. The reimbursement should be done easily, via a dedicated site which is not yet online but should be as of April 22, 2021. The transport authority will be responsible for announcing the address of the official site when the time comes.
Aware of the risk that this type of operation represents for Internet users, Valérie Pécresse ” warns against fraudulent sites Which, unfortunately, will not fail to be legion, as always.
For Île-de-France Mobilités, this reimbursement, which will concern all of the approximately 500,000 young people who hold an Imagin’R Pass is expected to cost 43 million euros.
