Party-goers, and especially the entertainment sector, can finally find their way back to nightclubs, after more than a year of total closure. The government has maintained, despite the threat of the Delta variant, the date of reopening of nightclubs announced by Emmanuel Macron: it is Friday, July 9, 2021. But beware: the health pass is required … and finding an open establishment risks to be complicated.
Discos reopen with the compulsory health pass
This is the sinequanone condition for dancing in a disco from Friday, July 9, 2021 in the evening: the Health Pass. The protocol planned between the government and professionals in the nightlife sector provides that access to the dancefloor is only reserved for people with a valid sanitary pass.
However, this can be varied: complete vaccination (therefore second dose received between 2 and 4 weeks previously, until the immunity is real and therefore the vaccination pass is valid), proof of contamination of more than 15 days but less than six months or a PCR test of less than 48 hours. Going to a nightclub will therefore require a little organization, especially in the case of the PCR test for which you have to wait for the results of the laboratory.
As provided by law, this Health Pass can be presented in paper format or through the TousAntiCovid application.
Discos can reopen … but will they do it?
The health pass guarantees a certain security for those present, so that the government has provided not to make the mask compulsory inside establishments (it remains nevertheless recommended).
But the revelers will have to take their troubles patiently: according to the night sector unions, only 25% of nightclubs will reopen … and more with a gauge of 75% of the capacity inside (100% for open-air establishments). Finding a nightclub will therefore be complicated, and they are very likely to be taken by storm.
