The EU and China are closer to signing an investment agreement

The diplomats see “recent positive developments” to negotiate an investment agreement with China, thereby paving the way for an agreement between the two sides.

Diplomatic sources said, on December 28, the member countries European Union (EU) has shown political support for Brussels efforts to negotiate one investment agreements with China, thereby paving the way for an agreement between the two sides.

At the meeting of the EU ambassadors, Germany, which holds the EU’s rotating presidency, said none of the members “signaled a halt and the path to political approval was wide open.”

According to the information, the diplomats noticed “recent positive developments” in the affairs negotiate with China.

The news comes after the Chinese Foreign Ministry announced last week that “talks have entered a final stage.”

Another diplomat said a deal could be officially announced this week.
