The leading regional investment fund Temasek Holdings this morning, February 9, announced that Ms. Ho Ching would resign as CEO on October 1.

According to CNBC TV channel, Ms. Ho Ching, the wife of Singapore Prime Minister Ly Hien Long, has been the CEO of Temasek since 2004. This is a state capital investment fund under the Singapore Ministry of Finance and currently one of the major investors best of the world. The fund’s investment portfolio amounted to S $ 306 billion ($ 230 billion) as of March 31, 2020.

Ho Ching’s successor is Mr. Dilhan Pillay Sandrasegara – incumbent CEO of Temasek International, an investment arm of Temasek Holdings. In the early days of its establishment, Temasek Holdings mainly invested in Singaporean companies, but then grew to become a major global investor. Temasek Holdings’ 2020 annual report shows that the fund’s assets in China account for 29% of its total portfolio, followed by Singapore at 24%, and North America at 17%.
In the Vietnamese market, Temasek also marked with remarkable deals. At the end of October 2019, Temasek invested in Scommerce – the parent company of Express Delivery Services Joint Stock Company (GHN) and Instant Services Joint Stock Company (AhaMove). The value of the deal is not officially announced but is rumored to be around $ 100 million. In mid-2020, Temasek belongs to a group of investors to buy shares of Vinhomes Joint Stock Company through an agreement transaction with the amount spent by Temasek of 200 million USD.
