Virus escaped from the Chinese lab. Towards confrontation? – EconomyMorning

This is a subject on which the entire planet is obviously walking on eggshells. The financial, geopolitical, logistical, commercial implications are simply enormous.

Imagine that the Covid 19 virus is indeed linked to a leak in the P4 laboratory in Wuhan?

China would then be held responsible for both the dead, the chronically ill and the abysmal losses of the world economy. There is, there, potentially enough to put China on the bench of nations for a very long time. There is something to make it pay for a very long time, there is also something, largely, to exclude it from the international community.

We are not there yet, and the ultra-rapid de-globalization that this would imply would be quite violent to live with, because the current shortages already numerous would become our painful daily life for several years.

This scenario cannot be ruled out, moreover I am delivering here the translation of an article published 4 days ago in the very famous journal Science where scientists officially call to address the delicate and very difficult question of the origin of virus.

Investigating the origins of COVID-19

Science May 14, 2021: Source here

“On December 30, 2019, the Emerging Disease Surveillance Program informed the world of pneumonia of unknown cause in Wuhan, China. Since then, scientists have made remarkable progress in understanding the causative agent, Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), its transmission, pathogenesis and mitigation by vaccines, therapeutic and non-pharmaceutical interventions. Yet more research is still needed to determine the origin of the pandemic. Theories of accidental lab release and zoonotic spread both remain viable. Knowing how COVID-19 emerged is critical to developing global strategies to mitigate the risk of future outbreaks.

In May 2020, the World Health Assembly asked the Director General of the World Health Organization (WHO) to work closely with his partners to determine the origins of SARS-CoV-2. In November, the terms of reference for a joint China-WHO study were published. The information, data and samples from the first phase of the study were collected and summarized by the Chinese half of the team; the rest of the team relied on this analysis. Although there was no clear evidence to support the hypothesis of natural spread or laboratory accident, the team considered zoonotic spread from an intermediate host to be “likely to very likely” and that a laboratory incident was “extremely unlikely” [(4), p. 9]. Moreover, the two theories were not considered in a balanced way. Only 4 of the 313 pages of the report and its appendices addressed the possibility of a laboratory accident. WHO Director-General Tedros Ghebreyesus said, among other things, that the reporting of evidence for a laboratory accident was insufficient and offered to provide additional resources to fully assess this possibility.

As scientists with relevant expertise, we agree with the Director General of WHO, the United States and 13 other countries, and the European Union to say that it is necessary and possible to make more clarity on the origins of this pandemic. We need to take natural and laboratory fallout assumptions seriously until we have sufficient data. A proper investigation must be transparent, objective, data-driven, draw on broad expertise, be subject to independent oversight and be managed responsibly to minimize the impact of conflicts of interest. . Both public health agencies and research laboratories must open their files to the public. Investigators should document the veracity and provenance of the data on which the analyzes are made and the conclusions drawn, so that the analyzes are reproducible by independent experts.

Finally, in this period of unfortunate anti-Asian sentiment in some countries, we note that at the start of the pandemic, it was Chinese doctors, scientists, journalists and citizens who shared crucial information with the world about the pandemic. spread of the virus – often at a heavy personal price. We should show the same determination to promote an impartial scientific discourse on this difficult but important question ”.

This article is no accident.

It is a process at work which consists of putting more and more pressure on China.

Once the laboratory leak is “officially” admitted, then the world will change radically.

International relations are extremely violent.

States never have friends.

They have interests.

The interest of the United States, like that of the European Union, is obviously to totally derail China.

This story of laboratory leakage could be the windfall of the century and the new millennium to stem China, to justify rapid and violent de-globalization, because China “must” “pay” for what it has done.

I can already imagine the elements of speech of the small Western media propaganda machine, that is to say essentially American-European.

It may or may not happen.

It is too early to have any certainties, but you will have understood it, it is a hot subject, to follow like milk on fire, because it is potentially “atomic” in the induced economic effects. Here we have the ingredients of a crisis of immense violence, but also of great brutality, without forgetting that it would be rapid and would take all economic agents by surprise. This is what I call an explosive crisis in the sense of a blast, moments when the story tilts in time from the second of an explosion. The last crisis of this type was that of September 11, 2001. It is a crisis that changes the world in a few minutes and that we do not have time to see develop.

Stay tuned.

It is already too late, but all is not lost. Prepare yourselves !
